Turn & Reveal hides a second photo in the side of the crystal. From the front you see the first photo; turn it a quarter turn and look through the right side, and the second photo appears.
How it works
Every dot in the crystal is seen from both sides. DTO Crystal places each row of dots so that, added up from the front, they make the first photo, and added up from the side they make the second. Same number of dots and burn time as a normal crystal.
Choosing the two photos
- Two photos with faces work best: the site sizes them so the faces match and moves them onto the same line.
- You can size and move each photo by hand in the Turn & Reveal panel, and see both views before you burn.
- Where one photo is bright and the other dark at the same height, a faint glow can show; lining up the faces avoids it.
The crystal
- A standing block or a cube, so there is a front and a side to look through.
- Both photos are sharpest at eye level, looking straight at each face.
